The nitrile O-Rings in this kit are made from 90 durometer hardness, which increases resistance to extrusion, but reduces low temperature flexibility. Nitrile, a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene, is an exceptional multi-purpose compound. It performs well in many types of environments and is generally resistant to fuels, oils, water and a multitude other fluids. When compared to other elastomers, nitrile has exceptional mechanical properties and wear resistance.
