METAL CLAD

This wiper is very similar to the standard metal clad wiper, but also includes a stainless steel spring to energize the lip. This allows the wiper to perform well in heavy-duty applications and in tough scraping environments.  

Of all the wiper products offered by RT Dygert, metal clad models are the most durable, longest lasting, heavy-duty wipers. Primarily designed for tough scraping environments, the metal ring inside is pressed to fit into the gland groove. Depending on the nature of the application and the amount of wiping action required, RT Dygert offers four different types of metal clad wipers.

The unique lip design and stainless steel spring makes this urethane wiper effective in severe service applications. The temperature range is -50°F to +250°F and the maximum velocity is 3.3 ft/sec.
