DUAL PURPOSE

Dual Purpose Wipers are essentially wipers with a built-in rod seal.  This is accomplished by adding a U-Cup seal at the base of the wiper. The rod seal is typically not as robust as a loaded U-Cup or even an unloaded U-Cup.  However, in low pressure pneumatic applications, a dual purpose wiper can eliminate the need for both a rod seal and a wiper, reducing costs.
