Nitrile, a copolymer of acrylonitrile and butadiene, is an exceptional multi-purpose compound.  It does well in most environments and is generally resistant to fuels, oils, water and many other fluids. When compared to other elastomers, nitrile has excellent mechanical properties and wear resistance.
