LIPPED WIPER

This style of wiper is similar to that of a slotted wiper, but also includes an extra lip on the OD.  The extra lip in this case reduces ingression of foreign matter into the rod seal via the static side of the wiper. It is primarily used as a snap-in type wiper for medium duty applications
